German Shepherds make Wonderful Service Dogs
Aside from providing healthy, happy, puppies, Von Dietrich German Shepherds also provide guide dogs and services dogs for seizures, dogs trained for PTSD, and children with Autism. Assistant Dog Trainer
Job Description:
Learn how to train dogs from our Head Trainer, Megan Manning. She has a degree in Animal Behavior, spent over a year working under a Master Dog Trainer, and has an accomplished track record of enthusiastic clients and their happy dogs. We train everything from basic obedience to service dog work. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leash training and basic obedience under direction.
- Learning which training tools would benefit each dog.
- Make recommendations for clients browsing the store.
- Pick up how to look for the root cause of unwanted behaviors
- Feeding and letting dogs out to use the bathroom.
- Organizing the Training Facility as needed.
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Fixed weekly schedule
- Flexible schedule
- 30-40 hours per week
